Andrew Thaller Rock Climbing Guide


Andrew was born in New Jersey and first developed a passionate interest in climbing and guiding on the crags of the Shawangunks in New York.  For the past three years, Andrew has been living in Idaho, where he has completed over seventy first-ascents.  Travel has always been an integral part of Andrew’s life, and he has been exploring and climbing all over the world, including France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Panama, Thailand, Alaska and others, including the Tour du Mont Blanc.

Andrew has a passion for the mountains and a love for  all types of climbing, including traditional, ice, alpine, sport and bouldering, and lives to share that passion with others.  He is a patient instructor who strives to make a lasting experience for his clients.

Rock Climbing

Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Leadership from Idaho State University, and has taught several university-level courses in Introductory Rock Climbing and Basic Mountaineering.  He is a certified Single Pitch Instructor by The American Mountain Guides Association and holds a Wilderness First Responder and Leave No Trace Trainer.
