Rock Climbing Moore's Wall, NC Sentinel Buttress

“Sentinel Buttress 5.5”

Moore’s Wall, NC rock climbing hosts a variety of single pitch and multi-pitch trad routes of all difficulties. It is known for steep, exposed climbs covered with large bucket-like holds. One of the classics: “Zoo View 5.7” is often thought of as being the best route of its grade in the state! The cliff overlooks the flatlands of the Piedmont and offers spectacular views. Moore’s is a great place to hone your trad climbing skills with its often challenging route finding, gear anchors, and rappels. It can also be an exciting first multi-pitch experience! Many of the routes at Moore’s Wall are shaded and ideal for summer climbing.
