Stone Mountain, NC Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing Stone Mountain, NC

“The Great Arch 5.4”

Stone Mountain, NC is home to what many feel is the most aesthetic rock climb in the Carolinas: “The Great Arch 5.5”. The rock has a southern aspect and acts as a reflector oven, which makes it the premier cold weather destination in the Piedmont of NC. Routes on Stone Mountain generally consist of 100+ feet of climbing per pitch, up slab and cracks. The low angle nature of the terrain is great for climbers of all abilities and is ideal for practicing footwork and balance. This mountain has been the first multi-pitch climbing experience for many Virginia and North Carolina climbers!
