Nickel Wood

Nickel grew up and lives in Kentucky. He splits his time between the South, New England, and the Pacific North West. Along with taking an annual trip to South America.

Nickel started as a mountaineer in Alaska. He has been guiding since 2007 and has reached the tops of North America, South America, and Africa. Beyond mountaineering, he is an avid rock and ice climber.

Nickel is an AMGA Assistant Rock Guide, having passed the Advanced Rock Guide Course and aspirant exam. He has also completed the Alpine Guide Course, is a Single Pitch Instructor, and holds a Wilderness First Responder Credential and level I & II avalanche courses.
